Brickwork
Front GardenWall
A new front boundary wall with piers, banded detailing and coping — an open frontage given an edge.
01 — The work
What we did
- Foundations set out and cast to the line of the frontage
- Brick wall built in red stock brick with squared piers
- Contrasting dark banding course run through the length of the wall
- Coping laid to piers and wall to shed water
- New edging laid where the wall meets the footway
The banding course is the detail that lifts it. Running a single dark course through the wall and stopping it cleanly at each pier gives a straightforward boundary wall a deliberate, considered line.
The result
A frontage with a clear edge, a defined entrance, and brickwork that sits with the house rather than against it.
